Win2k - Access control entry (ACE)

One of the entries on the access control list (ACL) that controls user account or group access to a resource. The entry must allow the type of access that is requested (for example, Read access) for the user to gain access. If no ACE exists in the ACL, the user can't gain access to the resource or folder on an NTFS partition.
