Network - Chromatic Dispersion

In a fiber-optic transmission, the dispersion of a light signal because of the different propagation speeds of the light at different wavelengths; also known as material dispersion. The wavelengths around which dispersion is minimal, such as those around 1300 or 830 nanometers, are commonly used for signaling.
